Smith Industries is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our fabrication operations. This role is critical to maintaining uptime across cranes, welding systems, and fabrication equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, compressors, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Maintain work orders, inspections, and maintenance records (CMMS)
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working on overhead cranes, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery (press brakes, CNC, rollers, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a production-driven environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as needed
- Ability to work in a shop environment and wear required PPE
